Notes
Retail sold and excess buyback kiloWatthour net metering rates comply with current State of Colorado Statutes and Regulations.
If total buyback kiloWatthours exceeds retail sold kiloWatthours during a 12-month period, State of Colorado regulations allow electric cooperatives to reduce the rate paid for the annual excess kiloWatthours to the "avoided cost" of kiloWatthours purchased from conventional power plants, currently $0.02735 per kiloWatthour.
San Isabel Electric does not combine or aggregate individual monthly meter readings or power bills. Therefore, a Member's net metering renewable energy kiloWatthours at a low power usage location are not transferable too offset retail purchased kiloWatthours at another location. Example: solar PV panels are on a barn roof. Barn electric service power usage is metered separately from nearby house. Barn PV panels produce more kiloWatthours monthly than barn consumes. Excess barn PV kiloWattthours are not transferable to house electric meter account.
