Don Santi was appointed to fill the District 5 – City of Walsenburg seat on the San Isabel board in 1993 and was elected to complete an unexpired, one-year term that year at the annual meeting.

Mr. Santi is a native of Huerfano County and attended Huerfano County High School and the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Presently retired, Santi has a broad business background in the automobile business as a Ford dealer in Walsenburg and as an insurance broker. He received sales achievement awards from Ford Motor Company and served two terms on the Ford Dealers Committee. Santi worked for Atlantic Richfield Company as a public relations representative during the construction of the ARCO Sheep Mountain facility in Huerfano County. Santi previously held the office of secretary on the San Isabel board and resided as the president of the Board for 2006. He has served on the San Isabel Policy Committee and the Member & Public Relations Committee.
